President Obama recently relinquished his White House weekly address to
a parent who has suffered the grievous loss of a child in a most tragic way –
through the actions of a very disturbed individual who stole his mother’s
guns, shot her and then proceeded to a school to murder 20 helpless children
and 6 adults. Can anyone NOT feel
immense sadness for a parent who suffers such a loss? I don’t think so; but, what about someone who uses that tragedy to promote an agenda? We have an absolutely shameless President who did just that to push for gun control. I find it heartless to use a mourning parent to promote the cause of their grief for his political gain.
Unfortunately, he is not alone. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) also used this tragedy in an email to solicit contributions "in the wake of the horror of the December 14, 2012 massacre of 20 beautiful children and 6 dedicated educators." (see http://www.breitbart.com for entire article) In light of the bills defeat what is he going to use to solicit money now?
In the meantime, we have had a stabbing spree at a Texas college where 14 people were injured and that seems to have faded into the sunset rather quickly with little or no coverage from the MSM (well how in the world can you work up a frenzy to 'ban' knives, anyway?) (see http://www.abcnews.go.com)
Wait though - there is a really big trial going on that the MSM pretty much ignored and that is the murder trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell - the abortion doctor whose female patient allegedly died from a botched abortion and the alleged murder of seven (7) babies BORN ALIVE. The atrocities committed by this individual are too horrific to enumerate much less detail. Recalling his impassioned pleas for gun control 'even if it only saves one child', one can only wonder where is the President's plea for saving the lives of countless numbers of children born alive in botched abortions? The silence is deafening.
