Apparently, President Obama doesn't understand the importance of the U.S. Constitution or maybe he does and doesn't really care if he steps all over it. Maybe he can feel that way because no one seems to be willing to stop him.
Let's look at the preamble to the Constitution that says:
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
To me, this is the importance of these particular words -
Justice..............................NO one is above the law
Domestic Tranquility.....The government will not intentionally foster
divisiveness among the citizens by promoting
class warfare and racism
Common Defence...........Provide for the protection of our borders and
our sovereignty as a nation
(general) Welfare...........Protect the citizens from any threats foreign
or domestic
Blessings of Liberty.......Ensure that we are free in our persons, property
and beliefs
Posterity.........................Able to pass on a thriving, healthy environment
for our children and their children's futures
While those are the aims of our founding fathers for the citizens, these are some of the aims of the enemies of our citizenry:
1. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of 'separation of church and state'
2. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis
3. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man"
4. Discredit all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture"...."
5. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
6. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce
7. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribut prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents
Sound familiar at all? These seven items are taken from the 'Communist Goals' and daily accomplished by "the enemy within". The 'enemy' is not across any ocean or sea; the enemy is here, pounding on our door, but we have the greatest equalizer of all - God
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one."
