CHALLENGES AT HOME....

Time to get back to the business at hand.  That would be (not necessarily in order of importance, but definitely important):

*Benghazi - one year later (Tues. 9/11/2013) and we still don't know what happened; who was responsible; where the President was; we need a Select Committee and Speaker Boehner needs to get out of the way.  Our new Secretary of State Kerry has said he does not intend to make survivors of the attack available to Congressional Hearing Panels.  Rep. Issa says 'we'll see about that'

*IRS - Still picking on conservatives; many still have not received approval of their 501 aps even though this has been an ongoing investigation with IRS heads promising to stop the targeted practice

*NSA - Sensenbrenner says NSA is overstepping its bounds in data collecting and abuse of the 4th Amendment and it is actually accessing information it was never intended to collect; as a matter of fact, we are finding out that the Obama administration secretly got NSA restrictions lifted in 2011 (more on that in a later post)
 

*ACA - House needs to defund the Affordable Care Act and again, Boehner needs to stop blocking that action; Republican Representatives were purposely voted into office in the 2010 election based on the promise to rid us of this monstrousity.  I can only conclude it has been able to survivie due to (1) the activist role Chief Justice Roberts played by calling the fees penalty a 'tax' and therefore, constitutional (2) lack of backbone in the House due to re-election trauma,  and (3) the media and supposedly well-meaning 'consultants' telling the Repubs they'd be making a big mistake 

*Fast & Furious - gun running to Mexico that may have morphed into arming rebels in Libya (who ultimately murdered 4 Americans in Benghazi) and who knows where else

*SEAL Team 6 -  more than 2 years after Taliban forces ambushed a helicopter carrying 8 members of SEAL Team 6 plus thirty other people, killing all 38 on board with a shoulder-fired missile, the families are still waiting for answers as to how this massacre happened but none are forthcoming.  A lawsuit has been filed against VP Joe Biden and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta for revealing that  SEAL Team 6 carried out the mission that killed Osama bin Laden.   

*DHS -  A joke; however Janet Napolitano has stepped down - do we know who is taking her place to continue NOT rounding up illegal immigrants (illegal immigrant = someone who sneaked in via the back door) 

AND.......

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, alleged mastermind of the 9/11 WTC attacks and four others STILL have not been brought to trial.
