The Doctor, The President & Planned Parenthood

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, President Obama and Planned Parenthood have two things in common - (1) abortions - any time, any place, any reason, and (2) love of money.  Gosnell performed abortions any time, any place  for any reason; Obama condones them any time, any place for any reason;  Planned Parenthood (PP) performs over 300,000 every year.  Each of these entities receives hundreds of thousands of dollars for this business and/or support of it.

Several years ago, in January 2011 to be exact, this 'Philadelphia horror' story was first covered by Michele Malkin.  She wrote extensively on Dr. Gosnell and his clinic, Women's Medical Society,  including the 281 page grand jury report in her column.  In her account, Ms. Malkin included some stomach wrenching details of the Dr.'s procedures including how he 'disposed' of the body parts of the dead babies, the overdosing of his patients with 'dangerous drugs' and the filth in which he operated.  She also tells of the failure of the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health and Dept. of State to take any steps to remedy the situation but rather continued to 'look the other way'.  There is no better description of the doctor's facility and operation than to label it a 'hell hole'.  Needless to say, the MSM apparently didn't see the need to cover the story.

Fast forward to 2013,  Dr. Gosnell is  charged with seven counts of first degree murder of babies who survived abortion,  convicted on 3 counts of first degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of a woman who died while undergoing an abortion;  performing abortions beyond Pennsylvania's legal limit and a host of other connected crimes.  The procedure in these baby murders by Dr. Gosnell and several of his 'assistants' is too horrible for me to detail here and leads me to wonder where all human decency has gone.   I can almost understand why the MSM was sorely missing in the courtroom spectator's seats assigned for them.   Who would want to listen to the gory details and see the horrific photos?  However, had it not been for another journalist, Kirsten Powers and her blistering attack on the MSM for lack of coverage in the trial, this atrocity would still be somewhere on the back pages of the newspapers, hidden from the public view.

President Obama has said, in defense of abortion,  at a town hall meeting in Johnstown, Pennsylvania  that he didn't want his daughters, punished with a baby - ".....it should also include other, you know, information about contraception because, look, I've got two daughters, 9 years old and 6 years old.  I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals.  But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby....." .   Additionally,  during his Illinois Senate days, then Senator Obama voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.  By far his most recent, egregious stance on abortion is embodied in a speech given to Planned Parenthood in April where he has the distinction of being the first sitting President to address Planned Parenthood and where he declared: "Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere.  It's not going anywhere today, it's not going anywhere tomorrow."  (Why would it go anywhere when it contributes mightily to his 'war chest'?)  He ended his landmark speech this way:  "Thank you Planned Parenthood.  God bless you."

Planned Parenthood is a thriving institution for abortion receiving upwards of $500 million per year from the government - that would be money extracted from the tax paying citizens of this country whether they want to subsidize abortion or not; whether it is against their religious beliefs or not; like it or not.  And, folks, money for Planned Parenthood is included in Obamacare, like it or not.
