Media Shills & Others

The media condemnation of anyone who disagrees with the President is really getting tiresome.  Martin Bashir, an MSNBC host who just can't get seem to get beyond skin color spewed his latest attack on Wednesday, June 5th when he said, "And now, the IRS is being used in exactly the same way as they tried to use the president's birth certificate.  Despite the complete lack of any evidence linking the president to the targeting of tea party groups, Republicans are using it as their latest weapon in the war against the black man in the White House."

Probably not as well known but twice as potent is the dialog contained in the 'Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment' .  That would be the government document identifying domestic terrorists.  Yes, that's us.

In the first paragraph under Key Findings,
"The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment".

Under Current Economic and Political Climate,
In addition, the historical election of an African American president and the prospect of policy changes are proving to be a driving force for rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalization."

Under Historical Presidential Election,
The entire section oozes with dire warnings of radical rightwing extremists and includes, "Most statements by rightwing extremists have been rhetorical expressing concerns about the election of the first African American president, but stopping short of calls for violent action." ,
and, a gem such as this,
"Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning."

That's what our government thought about us from the 'git-go' so is it any wonder people actually believe all this drivel?  It's called, brainwashing; repeat the lie over and over until it becomes the truth.  By the way, returning veterans are included in this 'specialized' category.

Well, all that just to get to my point.  I looked up the stats on the 2008 presidential election.  I will preface those findings with this - it wasn't the black vote that gave Obama the election even though the black turnout was unprecedented.  They don't make up enough of the population to carry a black man to a win.

These are the 2008 Stats:
White=32%;
African-American=13%;
Hispanic=6%;
Asian=1.5% and
Other=2%.

You do not have to be a math wizard to see that the white vote was approximately 10% higher than the others combined.  A more detailed  accounting of the demographics can be found at http://www.ropercenter.uconn.edu/elections/.
