In April, 2012, then US Representative Allen West (R-FL) revealed he had heard there were about 80 'communist party members', representatives of the American people sitting in the House of Representatives. He declined to name who they were when questioned by reporters of the Palm Beach Post but his office said he was referring to the 76 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC). Personally, I knew he was right on target. What happened to him after this 'revelation' was pretty much standard with liberal/progressives and the media. They made a laughing stock of him and the co-Chairman of the CPC, Rep. Raul Grijalva, when asked for comment did the predictable thing, denied it and remarked that Rep. West's actions were 'reminiscent' of McCarthyism. I would also like to mention here that when Mr. West ran for re-election in Florida, he was defeated. How's that for 'black-listing'?
In 2010, Gateway Pundit published, from a release by the American Socialist Party, the names of '70 Congressional Democrats' then in their ranks. At that time, these more familiar names of Congressional members were included:
John Conyers (Chairman of the Judiciary Committee), Jerrold Nadler, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, Dennis Kucinich, Neil Abercrombie, Andre' Carson, Emanuel Cleaver, Keith Ellison, Barney Frank, Alan Grayson, Luis Gutierrez, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Charles Rangel, Jan Schakowsky and Henry Waxman. At that time, eleven of the 23 members on the Judiciary Committee were members of the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America)! Most, if not all mentioned, are still sitting in our House!
