OBAMA'S SPEECH WE DIDN'T LISTEN TO

President Obama can stand in front of a microphone every day for the next 4 years, accuse conservatives, Tea Partiers and the Republican wing of Congress of obstructionism, tacitly approve using the term "racist" against anyone who doesn't agree with his policies and claim he  can't seem to get anything done with such opposition, but we know he lies.  Well, most of us know he lies - there's that element that steadfastly refuses to believe their 'idol' can do no wrong. 

 

Why does he lie?  Remember this in a previous article?
"An organizer working in and for an open society is in an ideological dilemma to begin with, he does not have a fixed truth -- truth to him is relative and changing: everything to him is relative and changing....To the extent that he is free from the shackles of dogma, he can respond to the realities of the widely different situations...." 

In other words, to him he isn't lying and another way of looking at it would be that 'the end justifies the means'.  He was trained as a community organizer, it is in his blood and there it will remain until the day he dies.  He lives and breaths Alinsky's  Rules for Radicals.  His whole make up is more than that, but that is for another day and another article.

 

If WE were being honest, we can't say he didn't tell us what he was going to do.  He did.  So did Michele Obama.  Some of us just weren't paying attention.  Well, here is a speech he made as candidate for President in 2008. 

 

 

 

He has already done much of this  but in case you didn't get all of it, here is the text of that message:

 

"I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems; I will not weaponize space; I will slow our development of future combat systems; and I will institute an independent Defense Priorities Board to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used to justify unnecessary spending."

 

"I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons and to seek that goal, I will not develop nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals..."

 

There are instances where he doesn't lie and this video happens to be one of them.   He knew people would not hear what he really said because so many of them were mesmerized by his 'way with words', his bright smile and their 'guilt'.  

 

Because of the fallacy regarding Obamacare with "you can keep your insurance if you like your insurance, PERIOD",  we know he just doesn't tell the truth.  We can expect more of his "truths" to hit the surface.

Aspects of the ACA You May Not Know (Part II)

This article concentrates on yet another aspect of  Obamacare rarely, if ever, discussed and though all of this may sound mundane and boring, since it will raid your pocket for additional taxes you need to check it out.   This portion comes under:   TITLE I-COVERAGE, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, AND REVENUES and most sections will have a brief description:

‘‘(a) IN GENERAL.—Except as provided in subsection (e)—

to 3.8 percent of the lesser of—

Aspects of the ACA You May Not Know (Part I)

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (yes, that's the real name) has certainly been getting a lot of 'play' since Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee tried in vain to 'defund' 'Obamacare' (as I am now and forever going to call it).  The second try out of the House of Representatives was to 'delay it for a year' which also failed.

On October 1st, the website was rolled out by the government to an instant debacle that we are still talking about but, calm down folks, our fearless leader (Obama) has a fix.  In the meantime, since that rollout, better than 5 million people have lost their healthcare insurance.  Insurance, I might add, they were perfectly happy with.  Well you know all that so let me get to the point of this article.

Remembering that this is 2400+ pages of 'legal speak' and referring to this, that or the other section of another law, I hesitated at first to do research.  I was aware of a couple of items nobody seems to want to mention or maybe the folks on the hill STILL don't know all of what's in it.  I lay a portion of this chaos we are currently enduring for the President's 'signature legislation'  at the feet of none other than Chief Justice John Roberts, who was (I believe) coerced into declaring this abomination legal because Congress has the ability to 'tax' us.  This, even though before reaching the Supreme Court, the administration said it wasn't a 'tax'.

WHO IS THE MAN IN OUR WHITE HOUSE

We are in very perilous times in this country.  Without fully considering the consequences, we have blindly wandered down the road to destruction and we have no one to blame but ourselves. We have allowed God  to be thrown out of our public schools, denied a prayerful place at almost all public meetings, denied acknowledgement in the workplace, ridiculed in movies and various forms of art,  removed from military oaths and the President has claimed we are no longer a Christian nation.  How right is he?

 

The  'movement' to take over America started well before President Obama's time, lost some ground then emerged even stronger to continue its objective of conquering America from within at any cost.  At any cost, that is, to the citizens.  The current occupant of the White House is not the initiator but rather the 'weapon of choice' for a nation so guided by various guilts (real or imagined), that it was ripe for a leader who promised "hope and change".  Result - no hope but lots of change. What we have now is a constant state of chaos, divisiveness, out of control youth, incivility, rising crime, class warfare and a dramatic resurgence of racial tensions.  

TYRANNY, THY NAME IS.....

 

On December 3rd, 2013 the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Representative Bob Goodlatte of Virginia,  conducted a hearing regarding Presidential powers and the Constitution.   In his opening statement he enumerated several actions taken by President Obama which have raised serious constitutional concerns.   Following are some excerpts from that opening statement: 

"Our system of government is a tripartite one with each branch having certain defined functions delegated to it by the Constitution.  The President is charged with executing the law, the Congress with writing the laws and the Judiciary with interpreting them.   The Obama administration, however, has ignored the Constitution's carefully balanced separation of powers and unilaterally granted itself the extra constitutional authority to amend the laws and to waive or suspend their enforcement...."

PICK YOURSELF UP, DUST YOURSELF OFF

Once again, we hear the call for Republicans to come to their senses and stop picking conservatives who cannot win an election.  Well, I have a few words for those people but I have to maintain a certain modicum of civility so I'll just not go there.  Right now.    Yes, it is definitely time for the GOP to come to their senses and this is how I think they should do it: 

 

First step:  I think they should get out their 2012 Platform and actually read it.  I have and I can tell you, GOP Senators such as McCain, McConnell, Graham, House Speaker Boehner, Rep. Cantor (for starters) should also sit down and really read THEIR platform.  It speaks volumes; however, it appears it is only symbolic to these men.  Sounds good, but they have no intention of adhering to it.

 

Second step:  Party unity - there is none.  We have been witness to the viciousness of certain GOP 'elitists', the likes of Senator McCain, calling certain conservatives (such as Senators Cruz and Paul ) 'radical' and "wacko birds.  This because they dare to attempt to do what they were sent to Congress to do - represent the American people.  Senator Paul you will recall filibustered over the White House drone policy thereby holding up the nomination of John Brennan as the new CIA Director until he was able to get, in writing, a statement from the DOJ's AG Eric Holder, that drones would not be used on American soil to kill Americans.   Senator Cruz's 'sin' was talking for better than 20 hours on the Senate floor to alert Senators, Houses members and the American public as to the content and impending consequences of the ACA otherwise known as Obamacare.

VIRGINIA'S GOVERNOR RACE 2013

On November 5th, 2013, Virginians went to the poles to elect a new Governor.  Instead of opting for freedom, truth, smaller government, liberty and a real conservative who has worked tirelessly for the citizens of Virginia, believes in life, traditional marriage, the rule of law and all the God given rights to man, we are now to be enslaved for the next four years under the 'rule' of a carbon copy Obama by the name of McAuliffe.  Thank you, liberal Virginians, the elitist Republican party and the Trojan horse supplied by the DNC in the form of a 'libertarian'.

 

I'm not sure when the real Republican party will stand up and be counted again.  Maybe never but this 'war' against the Tea Party and all true conservative Republicans must stop right here and right now.  We do not need a third party folks; it is as President Reagan said -

"Our people look for a cause to believe in.  Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?"

Those of us who voted for Ken Cuccinelli as well as E.W. Jackson are greatly disappointed but perhaps there will be another time meant for Ken and E.W. to serve the people of Virginia.  We do not know.  Only God does. 

In the meantime, as conservatives and Christians we must pray that people in Virginia and all throughout the nation will wake up to the fact that it is our responsibility to act and to vote if we want to see our nation restored to its true foundation.  Election 2014 is next.  Be ever vigilant.

NOW, A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT.......

Well, here we are.  Seems we lost the battle in September.  We have not lost the war, however, and coming up is one war we simply cannot afford to lose.  Too much at stake - America, our way of life, our freedoms and the future of our children.

 

On November 5th, we Virginians will go to the poles to vote for a new Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General.  This is an extremely important election because the choice we make could change Virginia forever.  As ominous as that sounds, it is true.  It is vitally important that all Christians vote and equally as important they vote for Christian values.  There are only 3 candidates running for those 3 top positions that hold Christian beliefs of traditional marriage, life and religious liberty to be the most moral basis for our society - Ken Cuccinelli/Governor; E.W. Jackson/Lt. Governor and Mark Obenshain/Attorney General.  They need and must receive our vote. 

 

I seldom, if ever, use the words of the President of the United States to encourage anyone to do anything since I don't agree with his politics, but every once in a while he says something worthwhile and so, please, listen to this video and to his advice about 'changing things':

 

  

 

We must restore God to His rightful place in our hearts and in every vestige of America for ourselves and for the future of our children.  May He have mercy on us and hear our prayers.

We are in very trying times right now and as I write this we are in the 10th day of the government shutdown.  Realizing that the following information may not be of much comfort to you, it is still important to know that this is not, by far, the first time the government has been in this situation which only serves to tell you  that we've made it through before and, with God's help, we will make it through again.

DEFUNDING HEALTHCARE ACT FALLOUT/ PART II



As you know, on Friday, September 20, 2013, the House passed a bill funding the Government to keep it open through mid-December but also stripping funding from Obamacare.  Senate Majority leader Harry Reid stated any bill defunding the healthcare law is dead when it reaches that chamber - a foregone conclusion.   With that in mind, the bill was delivered to the Senate.

 

A small but fervant core of Senate Republicans led by Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee  vowed to take up the House's lead and do all within their power to see that the healthcare law wasn't funded.  To that end, Senator Cruz took to the Senate floor at approximately 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 25th and began what turned into a  21 hour 'talkathon'  ending at Noon, September 26th. 

The purpose of this 'talkathon' was two-fold - (1) give the Senate and the public more information on the healthcare law and (2) convince other Senate GOP members NOT to vote in the affirmative for cloture.  Cloture = end debate.  If Senator Reid was able to get enough GOP Senators to vote for cloture that would mean he would only need a simple majority to then pass an amendment to strip the defunding from the bill and send it back to the House.  It was a good try but met with failure as the vote to end cloture was 79-18.  After voting on the amendment, the Senate passed the Democratic bill along party lines with a 54-44 vote and sent it back to the Republican controlled house.   

Thus began a series of proposals by the House:

DEFUNDING HEALTH CARE ACT FALLOUT/Part I

The American People

On Friday, September 20, 2013, the House Republicans finally voted to defund the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and send it to the Senate.  The vote was mostly partisan 230/189.  The actual bill was to fund the government through December 15th at current funding levels while at the same time defunding the healthcare act.  I am glad to see they finally took the leap although I know they are taking a lot of heat for that decision.

Rep. John Culberson, R-TX said, "Today the constitutional conservatives in the House are keeping their word to our constituents and our nation to stand true to our principles, to protect them from the most unpopular law ever passed in the history of the country - ObamaCare- that intrudes on their privacy and our most sacred right as Americans to be left alone."

Speaker of the House, John Boehner stated: "The American people don't want the government to shut down and they don't want Obamacare," he said, "The House has listened to the American people. Now it's time for the United States Senate to listen to them as well."

We all know this is an uphill battle; that Harry Reid is not going to pass it much less that the President would sign it.  I don't think that's the point.  Republicans won the House in 2010 based on repealing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare); unfortunately the public didn't see fit to unseat Obama in 2012, consequently we are still left with a Democrat majority Senate and a Democratic President, who by the way, has stated over and over that he will not negotiate with the Republicans.

Letter to the Editor

It’s getting increasingly difficult to differentiate between the two major political parties in America  whose platforms were almost completely opposite.  Republicans trying to do the job they were sent to Congress to do are under attack from the ‘establishment’ Republicans who apparently no longer represent the people, have lost their way and morphed into Democrat lite. They are the so-called ‘obstructionists’ not those who are really trying to do what they were sent to Congress to do.  Democrat lite would be people like Representatives Boehner, Cantor, and Senators McCain, Lindsey, and McConnell, to name a few.

Two items with an urgency to be addressed are the budget and the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare).  Congress has not passed a budget since 2009 – simply ‘kicking the can down the road’ with the use of Continuing Resolutions.  I don’t know about you, but I can’t run my household without a budget so I am aghast that the government continues to neglect its budgetary duty but I guess it makes it so much easier for them to spend it as it comes without accounting for it – a precursor to raising the debt ceiling.  One solution would be to stop financing and arming countries who have sworn to kill us and use that money here to take care of our own economic and social problems which are many. 

Secondly, I would urge the House to, preferably, defund the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in its entirety – a majority of the public has been and is currently against it anyway. Some reasons for defunding:  1)  Congress along with their staff have been granted a waiver; 2) 3 major unions who once endorsed it want out because it “will destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week”; 3) the employer mandate has been delayed 1 year; 4) the ‘keeper’ and ‘enforcer’ will be the IRS who has proven itself to be somewhat less than ‘fair’ and who will have access to your life story; 5) cost of your current insurance that “you can keep if you like it” will increase substantially; 6) a key provision limiting out of pocket insurance costs for consumers until 2015 has been delayed for some insurers which means they get to set their own limits starting in 2014.

The House should draw up their budget to totally fund the government for a full year and defund the Affordable Care Act in the same breath.  If the Senate Democrats and the President don’t want to fund the government for a full year because the Affordable Care Act is defunded, then they and not the Republicans should be held entirely responsible for any government shutdown that ensues.

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH & IMMIGRATION

   I read an article recently regarding the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops who are pushing for Congress to pass a comprehensive  immigration bill.  Their plan is to mount a full throttled campaign with their parishoners to lobby Congress en masse, applying pressure via multiple forms of communication to reach each and every member of the House of Representatives.  This is, apparently, a very important issue to the Church which considers immigration a matter of 'human rights'.  Having been a practicing Catholic for many years, I was somewhat surprised at the fervor attached to this particular endeavor.  I also learned that the Catholic Church is a major provider of support services for immigrants and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network is the largest non-profit legal network for immigrants. 

 

Bishops and priests have been encouraged to deliver sermons  urging their members to participate in this 'campaign'; churches in at least 19 cities have hosted pro-immigrant masses and events and many more will do the same in upcoming weeks.  Parishes are expected to host pilgrimages and public forums while bishops and other church officials plan on meeting with House members.  To learn more about this movement, you can go to http://www.justiceforimmigrants.org for more detailed information. 

CHALLENGES AT HOME....

Time to get back to the business at hand.  That would be (not necessarily in order of importance, but definitely important):

*Benghazi - one year later (Tues. 9/11/2013) and we still don't know what happened; who was responsible; where the President was; we need a Select Committee and Speaker Boehner needs to get out of the way.  Our new Secretary of State Kerry has said he does not intend to make survivors of the attack available to Congressional Hearing Panels.  Rep. Issa says 'we'll see about that'

*IRS - Still picking on conservatives; many still have not received approval of their 501 aps even though this has been an ongoing investigation with IRS heads promising to stop the targeted practice

*NSA - Sensenbrenner says NSA is overstepping its bounds in data collecting and abuse of the 4th Amendment and it is actually accessing information it was never intended to collect; as a matter of fact, we are finding out that the Obama administration secretly got NSA restrictions lifted in 2011 (more on that in a later post)

SHOULD THE HEALTHCARE ACT BE DEFUNDED?

Q:  What is meant by "defunding Obamacare" (ACA) -

A:  Attaching a legislative rider to a 'must pass' bill such as the debt limit, spending bill, etc. that prohibits funds from being spent on any activities to implement or enforce the Affordable Care Act; recinds any unspent balances that may have been appropriated and turns off the exchange subsidy and new Medicaid spending that were in the 'auto-pilot'.
Q:   Isn't defunding impossible because there is not a specific funding stream for Obamacare?  Funding is embedded throughout the federal government and not specifically designated?
A:  No. Congress is aware of all of the programs that fund Obamacare because CRS has provided such a list and the Appropriations Committees are well versed in the funding intricacies of the law.  However, a blanket prohibition against funding all activities associated with implementing the law is all that is needed to halt implementation.
Q:  If you don't have the votes for a statutory repeal, why would you think you can get the votes to defund Obamacare?
A:  The Constitution grants the House of Representatives the ultimate "power of the purse".  If Congress chooses not to fund Obamacare activities for the upcoming fiscal year, the Obama Administration cannot act to implement the law.  The President's party does not control the House of Representatives, which must originate debt limit and spending bills to fund the government.  And the House Republic Majority was elected in 2010, on the basis of its platform against Obamacare.

FINDING A BACKBONE

In my previous post, I wrote concerning de-funding Obamacare, official name 'Affordable Care Act' (ACA).  There has been a lot of talk, pro and con, regarding such a move by the Republicans in the House; however, some Republicans and the liberal Democrat side of the aisle, maintain such a move would precipitate a shutdown of the government.  Well, on the one hand that could be a relief considering the politicians don't seem able to actually represent their constituents anyway.  We can rightfully assume the bill would never pass in the Senate and the President wouldn't sign it even if it did because that is his 'signature' piece of accomplishment.  

 

I previously stated five (5) legitimate reasons to de-fund ACA which you can read on my post - August 14th.  Unfortunately I neglected a few other important points such as:
 

*  92% of federal workers don't want 'Obamacare'
 

* the healthcare act requires employers with 50 employees to offer government approved health insurance to employees who work at least 30 hrs. or more a week or face a fine of up to $3,000 per employee; consequently, many businesses are beginning to either reduce their work force or limit hours worked to less than 30 hours - effectively doing away with the 40 hr. work week
 

*  according to an unpublished CRS memo - the Obama administration has missed half of the healthcare act's legally imposed implementation deadlines
 

*  The ACA  contains forced inspection provisions such as 'forced visits' on homes the government considers high risk such as:  families in communities identified by states as needing services to improve parenting and child care; families with a history of substance abuse; families containing tobacco users; families with children with disabilities, etc.
 

*  the IRS (that pillar of piety, transparancy and goodwill) will oversee the entire project and have full access to all, and I mean ALL, of your records - medical, financial, property holdings, etc.

DEFUNDING OBAMACARE

June 28, 2012: 
In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the Mandate requiring Americans to buy health insurance or pay a penalty is constitutional.  This is the key part of President Obama's signature health care law.  The ruling was 5/4 with Chief Justice Roberts siding with the majority that the mandate is unconstitutional under the Constitution's Commerce Clause but can stay as part of Congress' taxing power.  In other words, the government can tax people for not having health insurance.  Truly, a first - the implication being that Congress now has the authority to tax you for NOT purchasing something!  Unbelievable!

In order to justify this injustice, Justice Roberts was able to finagle the law around enough to determine that ultimately it was a tax (which the President had vehemently insisted it wasn't) in order for it to stand.  "The Affordable Care Act's requirement that certain individuals pay a financial penalty for not obtaining health insurance may reasonably be characterized as a tax", Justice Roberts wrote.

This law has been controversial from the git-go.  In a poll taken November of 2009, 8 polls showed that by an average margin of 8.5% (49.0% to 40.5%) more people opposed Obamacare than supported it (see:  www.nationalreview.com/ ).  Today, since more and more details of this 'law' emerge, some pollings show that ".....54% of Americans oppose the law, 53% want opponents to 'continue trying to change or stop it,' and 56% want to return what we had before".  This past June marked 4 solid years of public opposition; some polls show only a third of the public support Obamacare.  Unions that supported it are now angry over its unintended consequences and one union is calling for repeal.  (see: www.nytimescom/roomfordebate/2013/05/29/). 

What are some reasons for repealing this albatross?  Let me count the ways (not necessarily in order):

MERCHANTS OF HATE

When will it all end?  When will the race merchants let it end? 

 

Since the trial of George Zimmerman, who was found not guilty of 2nd degree murder of teenager Trayvon Martin,  racial tensions are again escalating and there seems no end in sight.  Actually, since we elected the first mixed race President, who flaunts his skin color and hides from his white past, we have had nothing short of racial strife on a daily basis.  Four plus years into his presidency, nothing has changed for the better when it comes to race.  Amazing, isn't it?  Aided and abetted by his U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder who calls Americans cowards, Al Sharpton who never lets a tragedy go to waste even if he has to make up the details, Jesse Jackson his sidekick, many members of the US House of Representative Black Caucus, and every liberal and liberal media outlet, the citizens of this country who are trying to get along simply don't have a chance.

It is without doubt a tragedy when a parent loses a child regardless of the circumstance, but more so when the loss is brought about by the violent action(s) of another individual.  That is true in the Trayvon Martin case.  We are hearing a lot about this particular death and the media has played it full bore, fueling the frenzy of hate and racism.  There is almost no let up.  So, I must ask, where was the media and the cries of injustice in the following horrific crimes:

AMERICA: THE NEW POLICE STATE?

The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution states:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."



In extremely simple terms, it means that you are supposed to be safe in the comfort of your home without having a group of stormtroopers barging through your front door, terrifying you and your children or whoever else happens to be there, without the proper authorization of a warrant that has been legitimately issued by a judge for a legitimate reason.  Unfortunately, some pretty strange things are beginning to happen all over America and our homes are no longer safe from "unreasonable searches and seizures".  Following are just four startling examples:

1. Boston Bombing - the most flagrant violater of the Fourth Amendment to  date.                                             

DOMESTIC TRANQUILITY

It is not an understatement to say that Americans are being deliberately subjected to intense violation of domestic tranquility stated in the Preamble to the Constitution which reads in part: 

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility.......do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."    [emphasis mine]                                                          

We are witnessing such a gross and deliberate mischaracterization of the law by the DOJ Attorney General of the United States that it almost boggles the mind and we are seeing the tragedy of a death purposely used to incite dissension to satisfy a political agenda.  This violates 'domestic tranquility'.  Although there are other instances, the Zimmerman/Martin tragedy is a prime example:

Dept. of Justice/U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder:  

1.   The Justice Department has been involved in this tragedy since the beginning through their Community Relations Service (CRS). 

      *The CRS  was sent to Sanford, Florida where it helped work the marches,  demonstrations and rallies relating to the shooting and death of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman; it provided support for protest deployment and technical assistance. 

       *Certain documents suggest that the unit sent to Sanford took an active role in working with those demanding the prosecution of Mr. Zimmerman.  

       *Additionally,  the CRS employees helped arrange  for a 40 mile police escort for students from Daytona Beach to Sanford to barricade the entrance to the police department demanding Police Chief Bill Lee be fired.  He was.  see: http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room

 

 

2.   US Attorney General Eric Holder - 

      *Gave a rousing speech to the NAACP using the Martin/Zimmerman incident to condemn and propose to do away with Florida's Stand Your Ground law; a law that was not used in the defense of Mr. Zimmerman 

      *Made the following remarks to the NAACP audience: 

      "It's time to strengthen our collective resolve to combat gun violence but also time to combat violence involving or directed toward our children - so we can prevent future tragedies.  And we must confront the underlying attitudes, mistaken beliefs, and unfortunate stereotypes that serve too often as the basis for police action and private judgments." 

        and this tidbit regarding 'voting rights' (a manufactured sore subject)
 

      ".....an important piece of this foundation was chipped away - when the Supreme Court invalidated a key part of the Voting Rights Act.  ".....this provision, called pre-clearance, allowed the Department to take swift action against numerous jurisdictions that adopted rules or procedures with either a discriminatory purpose or effect."  ".....Let me be clear: this was a deeply disappointing and flawed decision.  It dealt a serious setback to the cause of voting rights."

JUSTICE BY ANY OTHER NAME

The trial just completed in Sanford, Florida of George Zimmerman, a man of Hispanic descent who killed Trayvon Martin, a young black man of 17 in self-defense was nothing short of a farce.  The unnecessasry, premature intrusion and interference injected into this unfortunate incident by our Department of Justice AG, Eric Holder, aided and abetted by that old master troublemaker and self-righteous individual, Rev. Al Sharpton was totally reprehensible.

 

According to the initial investigation by local police into the death of Trayvon Martin by Mr. Zimmerman,  it did not yield  sufficient evidence to prove a murder charge  beyond a reasonable doubt - a necessary component - therefore no charges were filed against him.  However, that wasn't good enough for rabble rouser-in-chief Sharpton so he took it to AG Holder to set everybody straight that this was a 'racially motivated' crime and needed to be investigated for  civil rights violation.  Once the federal government injected itself, pressure was brought to bear on the State of Florida to reconsider the initial decision not to charge Mr. Zimmerman or  the state would face a federal civil rights prosecution.   Ultimately, bowing to the political pressure brought to bear by Sharpton,  with the aid of DOJ 'black knight' AG Eric Holder, local police were pushed out of the picture, and the case was put into the hands of a prosecutor who knew the meaning of 'cooperation'. 

IMMIGRATION ABOMINATION

It would appear that many politicians (particularly those on the left), liberals  and the mainstream media would rather  persecute, belittle and bully any American who is opposed to the immigration bill recently passed in the Senate (S 744) when there is perfectly legitimate concern for the resultant consequences.  First, it is over 1,000 pages, most of the Senators haven't read it and/or don't even know what's in it AND it is filled with 'pork'.  Secondly, which is really first - we already have an immigration law; unfortunately, it is not being enforced.  Could that be why it's 'broken'? 

Let me just rattle off a couple of 'immigration' deals added for  vote inducements:

a)  Senators Murkowski/Begich (Alaska) -  provides for fish canneries to bring in foreign workers (what's wrong with American workers?) to fill the jobs

b)  Senators Reid/Heller (Nevada) - allows the government to spend up to $100 Million a year promoting tourist areas (like Las Vegas) and bring in foreign labor to fill the jobs (again, what's wrong with American workers?)

c)  Senator Sanders (Vermont) - received 1.5 billion to train young people for jobs (what jobs folks?)

The Enemy Within

Apparently, President Obama doesn't understand the importance of the U.S. Constitution or maybe he does and doesn't really care if he steps all over it.  Maybe he can feel that way because no one seems to be willing to stop him. 

Let's look at the preamble to the Constitution that says:
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."  

To me, this is the importance of these particular words -
Justice..............................NO one is above the law
Domestic Tranquility.....The government will not intentionally foster
                                         divisiveness among the citizens by promoting
                                         class warfare and racism
Common Defence...........Provide for the protection of our borders and
                                         our sovereignty as a nation 
(general) Welfare...........Protect the citizens from any threats foreign
                                         or domestic            
Blessings of Liberty.......Ensure that we are free in our persons, property
                                         and beliefs
Posterity.........................Able to pass on a thriving, healthy  environment
                                        for our children and their children's futures

While those are the aims of our founding fathers for the citizens, these are some of the aims of the enemies of our citizenry:

SECRETS

How many 'secrets' can one administration have?  As many as possible as long as no one finds out and then they're called 'scandals'!

Here is the list so far (not necessarily in order): 
1.  Fast and Furious/DOJ (Dept. of Justice) = gun running to Mexico drug cartels/murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry plus scores of Mexican nationals

2.  Benghazi = deaths of an Ambassador and 3 other Americans due to being 'deserted' (and where was the Commander-in-Chief during this time?)

3.  IRS = targeting of Tea Party organizations, conservatives, etc. who filed for tax exempt status and who are considered 'domestic terrorists' (according to the 2009 Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Clinate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment paper from Homeland Security)  and openly opposed to current administration policies

4.  DOJ = targeting of Fox News reporter James Rosen and AP reporter (First Amendment - freedom of the press)

5.  EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) = special treatment and waiving of fees for 'special friends and donors to Obama (cronyism)

6.  HHS (Health and Human Services) = Sebelius attempt to urge companies regulated by HHS to donate to Obamacare promotion

7.  NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) = appointment of 3 members to the Board during a Senate 'recess' when the Senate wasn't in recess and found to be unconstitutional in two courts

8.  NSA (National Security Agency) = data mining phone records, emails of multi-milllions of Americans from Verizon and probably other phone companies on a 'blanket' basis (Prism)

9.  DOS (Dept. of State under Hilary Clinton) Allegations of sexual misconduct have surface against  a U.S. Ambassador to Belgium; allegations of shutting down a probe by State’s inspector general (IG) into the Ambassador's conduct.

In the meantime, we still don't have a budget, the new Secretary of State is busy giving more money to our enemies against Congress' will, the Senate is intent on passing an immigration bill, and Obama is running around the country stumping for election or re-election of his marionettes instead of doing his job and the rest of the citizens be damned.

If you think we don't have a tyrannical leader taking up space in the White House, think again.

 

 

 



Media Shills & Others

The media condemnation of anyone who disagrees with the President is really getting tiresome.  Martin Bashir, an MSNBC host who just can't get seem to get beyond skin color spewed his latest attack on Wednesday, June 5th when he said, "And now, the IRS is being used in exactly the same way as they tried to use the president's birth certificate.  Despite the complete lack of any evidence linking the president to the targeting of tea party groups, Republicans are using it as their latest weapon in the war against the black man in the White House." 

 

Probably not as well known but twice as potent is the dialog contained in the 'Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment' .  That would be the government document identifying domestic terrorists.  Yes, that's us. 

In the first paragraph under Key Findings,
"The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment".

Under Current Economic and Political Climate,
In addition, the historical election of an African American president and the prospect of policy changes are proving to be a driving force for rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalization."

BSA Udate

If you haven't already read my previous article on the Boy Scouts of America, it would probably be a good idea to do that before reading this one.  In any event, this 'update' will be brief and I sure wish it wasn't on the order of  'I told you so' news.

 

Utah - several boy scouts marched in Utah's gay pride parade on Sunday, June 2nd.  Additionally, several of those who marched wore their uniforms, which was in blatant defiance of the Great Salt Lake Council's admonition not to.  Rick Barnes, chief scout executive of the Great Salt Lake Council told NBC, "We do not, as Boy Scouts, show support for any social or political position.  We're neutral."  Another spokesman at the national headquarters of the BSA told the Daily News, "These individuals stated a personal opinion and do not represent scouting".  Sorry guys - those day are gone forever - the rest of the story is yet to come!

 

A recent article in American Thinker points out that in his dissenting 2000 Supreme Court decision, Justice Stevens declared, "it is plain as the light of day that neither one of these principles -- 'morally straight' and 'clean'.....says the slightest thing about homosexuality."  Additionally, as I have said, this will be both a legal and moral disaster because the scouts will no longer be able to legally argue against the inclusion of homosexual leaders and be victorious.  How can they when they have ignored their own 'moral absolutes' and acquiesced to allowing openly homosexual youth the ability to join?  This decision has endless consequences.  (for more on the article go to: http://www.americanthinker.com )

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERCA

There has never been a more blatant move against morality than has been shown in the agressive movement by the gay activists to bring the Boy Scouts of America to its knees by forcing them to admit homosexuals into the group. The agenda has succeeded with flying colors unfortunately.

For over 100+ years the BSA has been able to stay true to its core religious values and its policy of not allowing gays into the organization.  In 2000, the BSA won a Supreme Court decision giving them that exact right.  The battle for infiltration, however, continued and the bullying tactics employed by the homosexual community to the sponsors of the Boy Scouts can only be termed as persistantly brutal tactics of intimidation.  Actually, if one was not a conservative but rather a liberal making judgement on a conservative, tactics employed could be classified as hate crimes.  It is sad to have to acknowledge that the BSA has ceded to the demands of 'political correctness' by allowing young boys who are openly homosexual to become scouts while in the same breath disallowing them, once they reach the age of 18, the ability to be in leadership positions.  Well, how stupid do we look here?  We all know what happens once the camel's nose is under the tent.

The Doctor, The President & Planned Parenthood

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, President Obama and Planned Parenthood have two things in common - (1) abortions - any time, any place, any reason, and (2) love of money.  Gosnell performed abortions any time, any place  for any reason; Obama condones them any time, any place for any reason;  Planned Parenthood (PP) performs over 300,000 every year.  Each of these entities receives hundreds of thousands of dollars for this business and/or support of it. 

 

Several years ago, in January 2011 to be exact, this 'Philadelphia horror' story was first covered by Michele Malkin.  She wrote extensively on Dr. Gosnell and his clinic, Women's Medical Society,  including the 281 page grand jury report in her column.  In her account, Ms. Malkin included some stomach wrenching details of the Dr.'s procedures including how he 'disposed' of the body parts of the dead babies, the overdosing of his patients with 'dangerous drugs' and the filth in which he operated.  She also tells of the failure of the Pennsylvania Dept. of Health and Dept. of State to take any steps to remedy the situation but rather continued to 'look the other way'.  There is no better description of the doctor's facility and operation than to label it a 'hell hole'.  Needless to say, the MSM apparently didn't see the need to cover the story. 

Exploiting a Tragedy

President Obama recently relinquished his White House weekly address to a parent who has suffered the grievous loss of a child in a most tragic way – through the actions of a very disturbed individual who stole his mother’s guns, shot her and then proceeded to a school to murder 20 helpless children and 6 adults.  Can anyone NOT feel immense sadness for a parent who suffers such a loss?  I don’t think so; but, what about someone who uses that tragedy to promote an agenda? We have an absolutely shameless President who did just that to push for gun control.  I find it heartless to use a mourning parent to promote the cause of their grief for his political gain. 

 

Unfortunately, he is not alone. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) also used this tragedy in an email to solicit contributions "in the wake of the horror of the December 14, 2012 massacre of 20 beautiful children and 6 dedicated educators."  (see http://www.breitbart.com for entire article)  In light of the bills defeat what is he going to use to solicit money now?

ASYLUM

It would appear that this country no longer honors refuge to the downtrodden and repressed.  Well, actually that is true only if the downtrodden and repressed are seeking LEGAL entry to the United States.  Take the plight of German refugees Hannelore Romeike and his family for instance -

Briefly:  The Romeikes fled to America from Germany in 2008 seeking asylum to escape the possibility their children would be taken away from them  because they (the Romeikes) wanted to homeschool them rather than send them to a public school.  They had withdrawn their children from public school because they were concerned that the educational material used by the school was undermining their Christian faith.  The German Supreme Court has ruled that banning homeschooling is done to "counteract the development of religious and philosophically motivated parallel societies."   After accumulating thousands of dollars in fines, police visits to their home and the threat of forcibly removing their children from their home, the Romeikes felt they had no choice but to leave their homeland and flee to America.  The HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) took up their cause filing an application for asylum which was sent directly to an immigration judge for a hearing.  They continued to homeschool their children while waiting for a hearing date.

Moving Toward Life

Two state legislatures have recently passed major abortion laws protecting the unborn from the scapel, once a heartbeat is detected.  The courageous move, in the face of overwhelming opposition only proves that the time for the end of Roe v Wade is nearing.

ARKANSAS

The Arkansas Senate voted Tuesday, March 5th to override Gov. Mike Beebe’s veto of legislation that would ban most abortions from the 12th week of pregnancy onward and give the state the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.  On March 6th, the Arkansas House  followed suit and also voted to override the Governor's veto. The 12-week standard is based on when a fetus' heartbeat can typically be detected through an abdominal ultrasound. 

Transgendering Our Children

I recently posted my letter written to the editor of our local newspaper regarding the upcoming March for Marriage in support of DOMA and California's Prop 8 to be heard before the Supreme Court, as to their constitutionality.  I had stated my concern about the growing and unwholesome trend of very young 'transgendered' children which was essentially ignored due to the extremely inappropriate title given the article by the editor.  Following are excerpts from a news article I recently came across addressing this very subject:

Communist Manifesto Recorded in US House

There may be many who are not aware of the following but it really needs to be made known now so that Americans will know just exactly what we are facing and how far back (maybe even farther) this goes.  The following was recorded in the House of Representatives on Thursday, January 10, 1963 at the request of Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., publisher of the De Land Courier and strongly dedicated to alerting the American public to the dangers of communism in America.  She identifies these goals as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist" by Cleon Skousen.

Gay Rights Platform, Justice Scalia and The Preacher

On March 5th the following post was published as a Letter to the Editor.  I had requested a particular title in keeping with my objective (What Are We Doing to Our Children) however, the editor saw it differently and instead titled it:  Gays a Danger to Society.  So, I guess you know what kind of reception THAT got!  No matter, here it is:

The 1972 Gay Rights Platform in the United States, adopted by the National Coalition of Gay Organizations was filed with the FBI outlining both federal and state objectives and can be found to this day at: http://www.rslevinson.com/gaylesissues/features/collect/onetime/bl_platform.  Among the demands were: “#6. Federal encouragement and support for sex education courses, prepared and taught by gay women and men, presenting homosexuality as a valid, healthy preference and lifestyle as a viable alternative to heterosexuality”.  This was also a State demand. 

US House Democrat/Socialists

In April, 2012, then US Representative Allen West (R-FL) revealed he had heard there were about  80  'communist party members', representatives of the American people sitting in the House of Representatives.  He declined to name who they were when questioned by reporters of the Palm Beach Post but his office said he was referring to the 76 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC).  Personally, I knew he was right on target.  What happened to him after this 'revelation' was pretty much standard with liberal/progressives and the media.  They made a laughing stock of him and the co-Chairman of the CPC, Rep. Raul Grijalva, when asked for comment did the predictable thing, denied it and remarked that  Rep. West's actions were 'reminiscent' of  McCarthyism.  I would also like to mention here that when Mr. West ran for re-election in Florida, he was defeated.  How's that for 'black-listing'?

Drones and Guns

On February 9th, I submitted a letter to the editor of my hometown newspaper which contained these two subjects - drones and gun ban - but for the sake of limited space had to keep the total wordage to less than 300.  My letter was printed on February 13, 2013 and the Editor graciously included my entire letter with very minor editing.  I have found that many people either don't know what is going on or are ill-informed so I cannot stress the importance of passing this on to all you know and from them to all they know: 

 

A 16 page Department of Justice White Paper claims that the President of the United States has the sole authority to use lethal force against any American citizen in a foreign country who is or who is suspected of being, a terrorist or conspiring with terrorists against this country. 

Nothing is Sacred

It gets increasingly difficult to keep up  with President Obama's agenda, aided and abetted by the MSM, when it comes to which of his 'targets' he is pushing on any given day.  After all, unless something changes dramatically in presidential terms, he only has another four years to totally bring this country to its knees mired in despair, degradation and immorality.   The key to his victory is divisiveness.  That's his agenda; ours must be to stop whining and overcome it.  To do this, we MUST return to our Creator and return Him to our lives.

One of the first things we need to remember about Mr. Obama is that he is a 'community organizer' and his thought processes are steeped in  progressive/socialist dogma.  All you need do is read either Alinksy's Rules for Radicals and/or the Communist Manifesto of 1963 - then this becomes obvious.  What may not be so obvious to some is that the Democrat party has been taken over by these 'principles' and moves in concert with the President and the MSM to carry them out.

Briefly, what are their aims?  Not necessarily in order of priority:

The Greatest Danger

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Amendment II to the United States Constitution.

Considering the time in which it was written, it isn't too difficult to understand that the whole purpose of this amendment was in order for citizens to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. Regardless of the rhetoric on the left, the willingness to demonize the NRA and millions of legal gun owners who oppose a gun ban as not wanting to 'protect the children', it is still obvious that this is a liberal's 'never let a good crisis go to waste' dream come true. It is shockingly disgusting that from the President on down, the liberal agenda foments dissension among the citizenry regarding the 2nd Amendment by using children as a 'shield'. 

A Step In The Right Direction!

Just recently, I read of an Alabama Supreme Court ruling that held, "a reference in state law that prevents exposing children to dangerous chemicals also protects an unborn child".  This is great news for the voiceless unborn!

 

I am going to take the liberty (no pun intended) of quoting from a Liberty Counsel press release on January 11, 2013:
